Latest research on Chemicals
We have sourced from around the globe a comprehensive collection of articles we believe will be useful to our clients and those concerned with safely managing chemicals in the workplace. These articles, research, investigations and opinions all relate to the problems with SDS, new legislation, injury statistics and chemical safety issues.
What is compelling about the research is the consistent message that the data on SDS is often incomplete, inaccurate and compromises the user carrying out a proper risk assessment.
To address these issues, Europe is leading the way with new legislation introduced in June 2007 to re classify chemicals and will make mandatory the registration and dissemination of information vis chemical reports and SDS.
RMT’s founder - research scientist Dean Apostolou - was aware of the limitations of SDS data and for 20 years ChemAlert's scientific team have researched and verified data on all SDS before it goes on our database.
Our scientists, hygienists and toxicologists will query a manufacturers classification and go back to a manufacturer if we find any conflicting data in our research. Our comprehensive approach means every SDS is researched and verified for the end user.
Existing ChemAlert clients can view researched articles on chemicals in the "clients only" section of the website.
